VOYAGERS EXHIBITION

Voyagers: Britons and the Sea    -   National Maritime Musuem, Greenwich, UK, 2011

My favourite project whilst I worked at  Real Studios was this exhibition which explores the relationship between Britons and the sea. As the main introductory gallery in the museum, it helps to give the visitor a brief overview of the entire museum, allowing them to get excited about what they want to see next, and which route to take through the museum.

Large audio visual displays are contrasted with more traditional museum displays, set out in an emotional timeline. The modern approach to display takes the visitor on a journey from anger to sadness, through to joy and love, ensuring a personal impact on the visitor. They therefore understand how important the sea has been in Britain’s history and how important it will be in the future.
